A: Looks like dingy dish water on the mahogany side of things. Head is a bit fizzy, not as staggering as most Unibroue beers are. Just a simple sandy color and dying really, really quick.

S: Cinnamon, tree bark, brown sugar, anise, spicy yeast and cardamom.

M: Begins really spicy with explosive carbonation all over the tongue. A lot of anise, almost strong root beer qualities going on. Good amount of brown sugar, some dark honey and pollen bitterness. There’s a lot of flavor going on before the swallow, opposed to most beers. In the swallow, vanilla and brown sugar really come to the forefront with the rootbeer flavors intensifying and going long into the finish. As it warms, brown sugar really comes out with some roasted prunes in the back end.

M: Medium body, super prickly carbonation.

D: This beer has good flavor but not a lot of depth. And it still has that typical Unibroue flavor to it. Its nice and drinkable.

Served In: Tulip
