Vintage 2004.
A - Huge pop on the cork with that smoking bottle look. Head pours super fizzy. Light brown and soapy looking, it starts at a full 2 inches. Quickly recedes much like the foam on a soda. Body is dark brown and shows garnet highlights when brought up to the light.
S - Big, sweet and fruity. Dark fruits mix nicely with red fruits, intermingling. Cherries, plums, raisins, black cherries, and dates. Some dark belgian candi syrup. Loving the smell here.
T - So soft and subtle, but with so many great flavors. Almost exactly mirrors the smell here. Big fruit, both red and dark. Black cherry, plum, raisin, fig, date, bing cherry. Some molasses and brown sugar comes in. Dark belgian candi sugar. This sounds so sweet, but it really isn't.
M - Medium full bodied. Super soft and smooth. Almost creamy.
D - Age has done very well for this beer. Time to get more. Drinking fabulously.
