Served a hazy beer the color of banana pudding with a thin cap of off-white head. Decent retention and lacing for a pint pour. Nice & yeasty, just like a good Belgian IPA should be in terms of both appearance and aroma. The hoppiness was a little faint for my liking, but provided some citrus to the yeasty fruit esters of mango and banana. A modest backbone of pale malts added cracker and biscuit notes.
Great flavor; true to the style with a spicy, grassy hop bittering that played well off the lighter, bready malt notes. Slightly grainy, with yeast esters of the tropical fruit variety. Body bordered on the verge of medium, and packed a perfect carbonation level that pepped up the zesty finish of hops and white pepper. Overall, a solid Belgian IPA, and quite drinkable. Paired nicely with a pulled pork sandwich.
