Ahh the Bitter Woman. Pours a clear clean copper with very few carbonation bubbles. A 1+ finger white head formed on the pour that fell to a thick cap and stayed put. Leaves sheet lacing after each sip. Nice looking beverage.

Sweet biscuity malt starts the aroma off. Somewhat doughy as well. Fresh cut grass and hay are the dominant hop aromas and they show themselves pretty quickly. Good but nothing spectacular.

Very pale biscuity malts kick things off. The hops come around mid palate but ae somewhat weak. Very balanced IPA but I'm more into the lopsided hoppy IPAs. It's definately a good beer and I drink it whenever I get to Wisconsin but it can be a little dull at times.

Good mouthfeel. Smooth and somewhat creamy with a medium body. Low carbonation lets the beer roll through on it's own. Mild bitterness.

Definately a sessionable beer. Balanced enough to drink a good quantity in one sitting.

Tyranena makes some damn fine beers. On a hot summer day Bitter Woman does the trick. Most of the time I'm looking for hopsided IPAs. Again, definately a solid brew from Tyranena.

Thanks to Scoobydank for this extra.

Pours an amber, dark orange, color. About half an inch of foam quickly forms and sustains itself for some time.

Toasted bread, pine, and grapefruit upfront. Decent smelling IPA; there’s a fruit cocktail aroma with some peaches and cherries, orange, grapefruit, and lemon zest follows. The fruitiness settles and fades away but the malt profile takes a step forward. There are notes of caramel, toast, and heavy, dense, bread. I’m also picking up some earthy tones.

Toasted malts and grains upfront with a pine and slight lemony finish. Some hop bitterness in the finish but the finish is mostly clean and a bit dry.

Average to very good mouthfeel, and just the right amount of carbonation as well. Nothing too fancy but a solid IPA nonetheless.

Dark honeyish chill haze yellowish/amber with an inch tall yellowish creamy colored fluffy head that takes a while to finely settle to a fine skim thats always present and leaves super sticky strings of lace.

Smell is an incredibly nice and straight up piney resin, touching on some grapefruit and a nice caramel toasted background. Amarillo hops have grabbed across most of its helm and keeps a nice pungent freshness.

Super smooth caramel toasty front that doesn't last cuz thats where the hops come floodin' in with very mild easy pine riddin' hops, resin filled, fresh, dried and sweet, amarillo abounds this batch of lovely easy handled hops that have a super crazy smoothness and bittering sourness with a touch of grapefruit rinds; one hell of a very smooth bitterness. Wow. SmoOOoth. Emphasis on the second and third "o".

Solid feel throughout, smooth and nearly full from first sip to last and the finish makes for one fanatastic little gem of hop rendered sourness kissing on the lips with a grapefruit rinds and lime-like sourness. This stuff goes down so easy and smooth its quite amazing. No, its not quite a monster, but the overall smooth and easyness of this IPA puts it right up there with some of the top notchers. Super drinkable and enjoyable to the fullest.

Color is dark gold. Smell is all hops. Mild floral, lots of pine. Taste is bitter right away, even more than the smell hints. All hops again, with a lot of bitterness after that. Feel is decent, and the taste sticks around for a little while.

Overall, this is a good bottle. Certainly a favorite of mine from Tyranena. This one is all about the hops. In all its pine/grass/bitter goodness.

Poured from bottle into pint glass.

A - Pours a dark golden color with tons of tight bubbles racing to the surface. One finger head consists of tight bubbles and has very good staying power.

S - Piney hops. Some sweet malt. Very faint.

T - Pine bitterness up front. Gives way to a little bit of sweetness until you are slammed with bittering hop bite at the end.

M - Seems thinner than I remember. Carbonation is good.

D - It's been a while since I have had this beer and I have to say, it isn't as good as I remembered.
