Gorgeously clear medium to dark orange body with some moderate bubbling within. Medium sized capping of white foam sits frothy and free while fading slowly to skim an always present thick skim and heavy collaring. Tons of crunchy, crystalized lacing is strewn about in thick sporatic webbing-like sheets.
Pleasingly strong aroma of big biscuity malts and whole lot of sprucey induced pine. Quite dryish and woodish with a touch of deep orangified citrus squeezed in. Nice.
Taste is crisp and crunchy with a boldly rounded biscuit/bready malt firmness combined with a well-balanced portion of woody/spruced and orange oil hoppyness that eases into a faint but building dryness of pithy orange oil bitterness and dry wood notes.
Feel is about medium with a decently active carbonation and firmness to its rounded and balanced flavors. Has abit of a weakened middle area but then builds anew with a pleasingly fine array of hoppy bitterness and dryness in the finish.
A pretty solid pale ale hybrid of a bitter here.
