10/1/2012 bottling. Apparently the last time I had this it wasn't fresh, because this is awesome. Tons of citrus hoppy goodness at a price that's tough to beat.

Color is medium copper and a bit hazy. Aroma is slightly more muted than I expected, but the hops are standing out as expected with a fresh hop beer. Taste is hops bitterness up front, with a notable citrus rind finish. Feel is good and sticks around for a while.

Overall, this is a standard fresh hop beer. It's very good, mind you. So if you like this style, then you will love the cutting bitterness of the fresh hops and the bitter citrus character. I like that, so I like this one quite a bit. Port certainly came through with another good bottle, as usual.

Thanks to dill for this bottle.

Pours a clear light yellow with a small white head. The foam settles fairly quickly and leaves a bit of lacing on the walls of the glass.

Smells of fresh bitter hops. Nice hints of lemon and pine. Touches of light caramel come through.

Smooth light malty body with a nice sweetness. Bitter fresh hops come through next. Citrus with notes of light grapefruit and lemon. Then more bitterness with some pine. Bit more light caramel in the aftertaste along with pine bitterness sticking around for just a bit.

A- Cloudy rust color with a great looking mashed tater foam head.

S- Great citrus aroma, that is a pleasure to sit a whiff on. Not the strongest smell, but a great one.

T- Nice! All citrus all the way through. Nice middle balance, with a lingering hop finish. Very nice hoppy brew.

M- Solid

O- A great IPA. Maybe not super elite upper tier, but great none the less.

A: Poured a nice golden color with a finger of pretty thick head that leaves some nice lacing.

S: Big citrus and hops. Good smell, but not the best as far as IPAs go.

T: A lot of hops to start off with. Followed up by some light citrus and the hops get mellowed out. Still pretty rough at the finish.

M: Medium body with a decent about of carbonation.

Maybe I've been spoiled with IPAs, but this one just doesn't compare to anything I've had lately.

A - Pours a dull golden color with a slight haze which may be due to the chill. One finger soapy white head forms, then falls to a thin film that covers the entire surface.

S - As soon as I poured this one I could smell it without even bringing it to my nose. Huge floral hop nose. Both citrusy and piney, with big ripe grapefruits.

T - Hops start off attacking the tongue right away. Very assertive at first, they subside some in the middle and into a fruity sweetness at the finish. Sugary sweet malts balance the hops and keep them from being abrasive or over the top.

M - Medium body with mild carbonation.

D - Man, I would love to be sitting hip up to the bar and have a bunch of these. Goes down super easy. Thanks to Westsidethreat for the bottle.
