Generously received this brew from jampics2 in a recent trade. I must admit that I’ve never heard of The Brew Kettle but apparently this brew did quite well against some big named IPA’s. Drank from my Minneapolis Town Hall Weizen glass.
Appearance- Pours a crystal clear light yellowish with a nice one finger creamy white head. A thin cap and collar is maintained the entire beer along with a bit of random spotty lacing.
Smell- SO fruity and fresh smelling holy hell! Peaches and mango galore with light hints of pineapple and grapefruit. Literally one of the fruitiest smelling brews that I have had the pleasure of sniffing. A light bit of sweetness is noticeable in the background with almost a vanilla thing going on.
Taste- Like the nose it’s pretty fruity but not really with the intensity of the nose. It’s actually fairly mellow but still really fruity. Hard to explain maybe. Grapefruit and pineapple are the dominant tastes and they are lovely as hell. The beer isn’t overly bitter at all as there is an ever-so-slight sweet maltiness hiding behind it all.
Mouthfeel- Nice light carbonation that’s soft and tingly with a medium body.
Drinkability- This beer reminds me a lot of Two Hearted and dare I say… tastes even better? It’s got a touch more sweetness, especially in the finish but it has that same sort of profile. Either way, great beer that I really enjoyed. Thanks much Bobby!

22oz. brown bomber picked up at the brewpub. Poured into a snifter.
A: Pours an orangish copper, dark enough to only allow a glow. Good head with decent retention and lots of lacing.
S: Lots of citrus and fruitiness with plenty of pine in the back. Some light maltiness but this is all hops.
T/M: Not overly bitter for an IPA, think Blind Pig or Two Hearted. More of the big citrus and fruity hops with pine backing things up. Some malts to add some depth but again, all about the hops. Body is medium to medium light with somewhat light carbonation. Some dryness on the finish but I personally think it's lacking in this category. The lower carbonation doesn't help this either.
Overall a very tasty beer and always a great price with The Brew Kettle. I liked this better on tap as I think the carbonation was higher and helped with the dryness.
