22 oz bottle I picked up from Hop City in ATL not too long ago. Figured what the hell, it is for a good cause and it is a interesting mish mash of styles. Served up in a pint glass.

A: Pours up a dark brown body. Held to the light, it has more of red hue to it, a nice mahogany. Body is pretty clear, although dark. You can see through it though. The head was a good finger of tan colored head with a slightly red tint to it, but it disappears insanely fast. At this point, there is no wisp or trace of head on this thing. No head, no nothing.

S: Smell kind of comes across as more of a nut brown to me at first sniff. It has a good amount of caramel malt coming across with that slight nuttiness to it. As it warms, it gets a much larger malt presence to it. The Belgian qualities are slight, but there. Picking up on some dark fruits coming out in there. Slight touch of spice, a little peppery, rounds this out.

T: Whoa . . . getting a huge amount of bubble gum coming out in this beer. Its taken to a whole new level. It is the main flavor in this beer and it is really overpowering the malts. If I really try to sort this out, the malts are lightly toasty and caramel mostly (I think). There is that a touch of pepper cutting the sweetness a bit. The dark fruits and Belgian yeast just build up into that bubble gum with some potency. Its interesting, and not exactly bad. Its just weird.

M: Nice medium feel that is on the heavier side. ABV is light on the palate and really isn't that noticable for its size. Would go with mostly sweet on the palate, just a malt bomb. Aftertaste is all bubble gum and belgian qualities.

OA: It is really hard for me to grade this one. I didn't not like it, but I didn't really like it either. Its weird for me. It is like they were worried that the Belgian qualities wouldn't come out enough, so they over compensated and the bubble gum just took over. I am not upset I bought it because it is for a good cause, but I can't say that I would buy another or subject anyone else to it unless they are really into huge Belgian yeast and bubble gum flavors. Just seems to be just a bit too much.
