22 oz bottle I picked up from Green's off Ponce in ATL. Served up in my shaped Dogfish Head glass.

A: Pours an incredibly clear, dark golden to light amber looking body. Held to the light, it absolutely a dark golden color. Lots of carbonation activity going on in here. The pour got me a slow building but pillowly/fluffy two and half finger fingers of head. Tons of stick to the lace and really coats the glass. Good looking brew.

S: Smell is a little light for a beer that is supposed to represent the day that the Georgia Theater burned down. It smells like a DIPA and doesn't stray much from that at all. Getting a lot of citrus, grapefruit and tropical hop aromas. Picking up lightly on the malts, pale to lightly sweet but the smoke isn't coming through. It smells good, but its not coming through as being smoked.

T: Very interesting. At the start of every sip, I am getting an initial push of smoke. Its not assertive, but it is present. Just as I start to taste it full on, the hops take over. Grapefruit, lemon and pineapple really take over. Getting a little bit of spice and pine as well. As these hops fade, the aftertaste is met with smoke again. The smoke pretty much lives in the aftertaste. Has a smoked meat kind of note to it. I actually dig it.

M: Medium bodied with a higher carbonation to it. ABV is absolutely up and present. This is pretty hot, almost too hot. Heavy and residual burn on the throat. Bitter and almost savory on the palate. Has a nice stick to it in feel. Aftetaste is tropical fruits and smoky bacon like flavor.

OA: I bought this solely so Tara could have a chance at the golden ticket. I bought it thinking I would hate it, and I actually have been avoiding this beer in the fridge this week. Crazy part is that I am really digging on it. Sure the feel is a bit off and the nose is lackluster, but the flavors work. I wouldn't have thought it. Tasty and interesting brew.
