Wow, what a fantastic looking pale, super deep, dark coppery color thats very hazy and rusty with a thin tan head that faded fast with minimal drippy, spotty lace. Its only fault really as far as appearance.
Aroma is a nice mix of roasty malts, dried pretzeled bread, dried hops that has a touch of piney resin and dried wood, maple syrup noted on some bigger wiffs.
Taste is outstanding, perfect blend of malts in the front with a superb roastyness thats not overpowering, chewy, or sweet. Hops come in soon there after with a nice dried sense of leaves, pine, resin, bittering is intensely fine and lingers well with a small return in the roastyness of malts showing through. A great backbone in this one.
Feel is medium bodied with a nice little hoppy texture in the finish. Finished this one in no time due to it being the only Stone brew I've had thats not in the bomber but in a 12 ouncer. Oh, plus its damn good; smooth, packed with nice flavors and body. Nothing empty about this beer but my glass and bottle- now that I'm done: I wan't another! And at 4.4 ABV this is the epitome of a session brew!

Pours a rusty amber color with about half inch of foam--good retention.

Big citrus hop aroma on the nose, grapefruit, lemon, and orange zest. After it settles, the malt profile starts to show up; roasted malts, toast, caramel and a little buttery. For such a low alcohol volume (4.4%) it does not smell tame! One of the best smelling ambers I've had so far.

The taste showcases the malt a little more than the aroma. I get a good dose of toasted malt but it is quickly pushed back by some hop bitterness and finishes with some citrus.

Mouthfeel is thin with some bitter and toasty aftertaste but then again this is meant to be a session beer so one should not expect a big and heavy mouthfeel. Goes down very smooth and leaves a slight dryness on the palate which makes you want to take another sip. A very decent session beer.

A - Pours a nice dark amber, garnet colored body that is transparent and clean. Small tan head is made of tight bubbles and stays around for quite a while considering it's small stature.

S - Sweet caramel notes and some red fruit. Floral hops jump out with lots of pine and a touch of citrus.

T - Much hoppier than your run of the mill amber. Light caramel and some bready malts. Pine needles almost prick the tongue before the finish gives a citrusy bitter wash.

M - Medium bodied. Easy going carbonation.

D - Super drinkable. Lots of flavor packed in this little abv beer. This is my type of lawnmower beer.

This may be one of the best "lighter" beers i’ve had. The ability for this to be this good and this drinkable is great. The people at Stone really knocked this out of the park. Sure the IPA and Ruination are tastier and stronger but this could be the best go to beer ever. The drinkability of this is unreal. I cant imagine it being too hot for this beer.
