12 oz bottle acquired from Liquor Express in Huntsville. Served up in this sweet ass mug that is older than I am.

A: Pours up an amber/orange color. Held to the light, more orange comes through and shows that the body is very clear. Steady carbonation movement. Poured up a good 2.5 fingers of cloud like head. Falls slowly to a finger. Leaves a metric ton of lace all over the glass.

S: Weird smell. Starts off with the hops. Bright and sweet orange notes: zest, meat, rind, etc. It is very sweet and there is almost a lactic and caramel that is really coming through. Too sweet if you ask me. Its not bad, just too sweet for an IPA.

T: Things start off with an almost cider like presence. Really picking up on some red delicious apples. Strange and not at all expected. Orange notes coming from the hops. Caramel malts are really present and really sweet. Touch of lactose. Its weird but drinkable and intriguing.

M: Medium bodied with a medium mouthfeel. Finishes mostly dry but does have a lingering sweetness from time to time. ABV bring a touch of heat on the throat but nothing too aggressive. Aftertaste is apple and orange.

OA: Interesting. Not at all what I expected. Not bad, just out there. The apple notes really freak me out. Caramel is a bit too much. The orange and citrus hoppy notes try to tame it, but to no avail. Its good and drinkable, but not what one is expecting from a typical IPA.
