Old REview
12 oz bottle thanks to IBUnit63. Served up in a standard shaker pint glass.

A: Pours a straight up black body. Held to the light, not getting any difference or intensity of black. Just an all around nice matte black finih. The pour got about a finger of medium brown head. Retention is ok, falling somewhat slowly to a chunky collar and pretty solid top cap. Lace is spotty with a light webbing left behind on the glass. Good looking brew.

S: What up! Getting a nice aroma coming out here. Light chocolate malts that have a nice roast to them, an almost smoke quality coming out. Got a nice dark, black coffee quality coming out. Some milk is present as well. Light earthy hops translates in some grassy notes. Subtle and mild, but still good to get a whiff of.

T: Taste is almost exactly like the aroma. The chocolate malt has that nice roast to it, but the smoke is bit more muted here. Light dark coffee mingles nicely in the middle. Little bit of milk as well here, but its not a turn off. Its more of a slightly sweet cream. Grassy hops mingle just enough to let you know there is some dryness here. This is what I want from a simple dry stout.

M: Medium bodied brew that has a nice light creaminess to it. The brew comes through just dry enough to keep you pulling from it. For the beer to be so low on the ABV, it does have a nice light warmth quality on back of the palate. Aftertaste is all light and dry hops with a touch of coffee lingering.

D: This is a mighty fine and simple Irish Dry Stout. This is exactly what I expect from a standard Irish Stout. Easily consumed and sit nice and light. Easy to down a couple of these at any given time. This is basically a nicely amped up Guinness to tell the truth. Just better and not as mass produced. Just a good all around brew that I would absolutely have again. Thanks again, Larry. This is oh so nice.
