Old Review
12 oz bottle I got out of a Smutty mixed pack. Poured into a standard pint tumbler.

A: Poured a nice orange that had just a touch of cloud to it. Had a nice, big head that had some good retention. Really nice sticky lacing webs the glass.

S: Smell is mostly of citrus hops that really allows a nice, well represented grapefruit aroma to shine through. There is also a touch of sweet malt making a presence.

T: Taste is of citrus hops, big time grapefruit, a bit sour and a bit bitter. Sweet malt tries to balance but the bitterness remains and is pleasant.

M: Medium in body, has just enough carbonation to make the feel enjoyable. Bitterness from the grapefruit is the majority of the aftertaste and really lingers on the tongue. A touch of ABV resides on the back of the throat.

D: Pretty damned good. I feel that I may get a bit of heartburn if I had too many of these, but still very good. I could definitely drink at least one of these a night if they were in my area. Really nice IPA.

Creamy cloud of dark gold, smooth inch tall yellowed ivory cap sits well, breaks down slowly to a murky skim always present and the lacing sticks in thick patches and leveled rings.

Aroma has a pleasantly fine dry pineyness with a dull citrus backing, bits of floral hop cones and resin oils too. Once you get use to the hop profile a little toasty biscuit malt floats through from around the corners. A nice preview for whats to come.

Oh yeah, the flavors work well and build strongly as it goes. Full frontal soft and toasty malt start, bread yeast and fruits midway, hops then start the fun with piney covered citruses and yeilding juicy hop oils. Wowza, the finish is spectacular with a favorable bittering edge of dry pine and fading off notes of nectarine, grapefruit, and flowery grass. Seemingly complex in character but yet has a simple attitude and welcoming hop taste.

Nice feel to it too as it works its way across the palate; fluffy, lightly pulpy texture, great unfiltered, nearly full body, smooth, and biting with a great hop finish that can be a little cumbersome, but oh so good.

A nice showcase of hop flavors with a balancing front and prominent edge of hops in the finish. Reminds me alot of Bell's Two-Hearted with just a bit more hop finish, therefore, just a tad less on the drinkability. But very good non-the-less.

Thanks to MrBURTON55 for this one.

The beer pours a ripe apricot color with a small amount of head. The aroma is of citrus fruits and some piney notes from the hops, great combo. The first sip encountered some malt sweetness, continues with some lemony flavors and ends with a nice bitter and dry finish. Then it’s a nice hoppy journey throughout. This is a very enjoyable and extremely refreshing IPA.

thanks beagle for this one.

Good looking beer, this pours a nice golden color with a light soapy head.

Nice floral/citrus aroma.

Great taste, much of the same in this taste, grapefruit, citrus and bittering hops are prominent, good balance.

Nice mouthfeel, oily hop resin, perfect carbonation etc.

Overall, this is a very good IPA and I'm glad I got a chance to try it.

Poured from bottle into standard pint. Brewed in Jan per bottle.

A - Huge soapy head. Orange color, slightly hazy.

S - Big floral hop aroma. Grapefruit and citrusy. Hophead's perfect IPA.

T - Much the same as the smell, big citrus hop blast. Wonderfully flavorful IPA.

M - Fairly think and very resiny. Oily hops.

D - This is my kind of IPA. No part of it disappoints. Great beer.

This is HOOOOPPPYYY!!! Man what good brew. I would place it about in between the Stone IPA and Ruination. Freaking great brew. The only thing that held it back was the lack of foam. It had relatively none and what was there faded instantly. Other than that. . . I need to trade for more. :banned:
