Found a can of this in the back of my fridge... thanks again Frank!
Pours a clean, copper/amber color. Wispy french vanilla colored head happily takes it's place - almost two fingers in height - with amazing retention. Takes some time for it to fall to a spotty, clumpy cap, with gops of lacing adhered to the walls of the glass.
Aroma is strong handed with a sweet balance of pine resin and caramel malts. This can has been around for a month or two... I remember it packing a stronger pine punch when it was fresher. Anywho, a degree of citrus makes a play here as well - orange zest with some tangerine squeezins'. Yeah, I said squeezins.
The pine really steps forward in the taste. Some grains here as well, adding some balance to the bitter hops. Sweet malts step forward shyly from the shadows. Slight sun-tea likeness to the finish.
Medium in body. Crisp, clean and bitter - but not overly so at all - purely drinkable. Carbonation is excellent and to style... love the 4.9 ABV!!
Drinkability is through the roof. Wish I had a case - I could easily see myself making an all nighter out of this stuff!
Frank - pure sessional (is that a word?) stuff, thanks!
Highly recommended!
