(Served in a Nonic)
A- This beer pours a jet black body with a bubbly tan head that last a good bit.
S- The minty herbal aroma reminds me of old time aftershave with some vanilla notes in the finish. Some woody herbal qualities come through as it warms. Some brewer’s licorice comes through in the finish aswell.
T- The spearmint flavor is fresh but mild with a roasted black malt finish that is stronger. The blend of cocoa nibs and slight fresh mint hint linger in the finish.
M- The medium mouthfeel has a gentle fizz in the finish.
O- This beer is really well built and all the flavors blend and balances but they are not muttled. This is very interesting and the mellow stout is really needed to show the mint.
