12 oz bottle I got out of a six pack I picked up from the Grub Mart here in J'ville. Served up in a standard shaker pint glass.

A: Pours a lightly rusty, orange color. When held to the light it is a more vibrant orange color. A some what vigorous pour summoned forth a finger of white head. The head had some pretty good retention, slowly falling to a pretty thick white ring. The foam creates a bit of sticky lacing. Carbonation movement keeps up throughout the consumption. Not bad.

S: Smell is pretty interesting. There are some pungent hops coming out that smell a bit on the bitter side. Lemongrass is coming through. Slight malt scents are coming through, but it is mostly a dirty earth and herb scent coming out. There is also a touch of sweat smell coming out. That smell kept this one from moving up above a three, but still not bad.

T: Taste is pretty decent. There is a really nice lemony and herbal bitterness coming out here from the hops. The amount of hops are definitely the American take on the ESB here. They are nice and they do work well. The malt is a biscuity flavor and pretty tame in here. There is a nice peppery, spicy bite in there as well. There is that earthy, dirty flavor in there as well but it is not as negative as it is in the nose. It works a bit more. Pretty tasty.

M: Light side of medium in body that seems to have a decent amount of wateriness to it, almost to a fault. The carbonation is high and pretty crisp. Still this beer is incredibly dry and not very quenching. Aftertaste is of the bitterness working in here. ABV, not noticable.

D: This beer is not bad at all, but not necessarily the best for the style. It is a decent American take on the style. The dryness is a bit much and I really wouldn't want to have more than two of these in a sitting. Still not bad at all, and worth trying.

Pours a clear amber-brass color with a thick one finger almond colored head. Good lacing.

Aroma is sweet malts-caramel. Fruity (pear)and brown sugar. Earthy- yes, and grassy.

Hmmmm.... interesting. Malts are predominate in this-biscuity and grainy, with a touch of caramel sweetness. It is bitter (hops), with a nice citrus taste-lemon with a hint of orange. Well balanced, with an excellent finish...

Mouthfeel is medium in body, smooth, dry towards the finish. Visibly active, pleasant carbonation.

IMO, this is an excellent offering from SN. An easy drinker, session-able, pleasant, whats not to like? And yes, it does make me wish for warmer weather...
Highly Recommended!!

Gorgeously murky and tarnished color of deep rusted peachy orange with a slight cast of deeper gold within. Firm and crunchy topping of lightly yellowed foam sits about a half inch high and stays a solid amount as it sits. Lacing of all kinds sticks across the glass very well.

Clean aroma of slightly toasted malts and grains along with a small tug of sweet breadyness. Notes of grassyness, dry wood, and some pale fruits make an appearance here and there.

Taste is firm and textured with a fuzzyish tone while a light yet firm amount of pale, caramel, and toasted malts make some bread crust taking the overall. Some slight hop notes adding grassy, woody things, along with paled fruits of old apple, dull pear, and smidgeons of crunchy edged grapefruityness. Finsihes light with a light pull of woodish dryness and hop leaf bitterness.

Feel is uniquely textured with a firm bite of toasted fuzz and texture while maiantaining a decent medium body throughout its duration. A small opening in the middle area gives way to the creeping finish of dry woodyness.

A sessionable ESB with a pretty good texture, tone, body, and flavor.

Picked up a single bottle yesterday from SouthBay Drugs and Liquor.

The beer is a dark tangerine and copper color, a dense inch of compact bubbles forms from a semi-aggressive pour. Good retention and a little bit of lacing.

Full biscuit and toast aroma with herbal and spicy hops. Crackers, soft citrus fruits, sweet bread, and a dominant earthiness, spiciness, and sweet floral aroma from the hops. Slight lemony aroma in the background. Also some fruitiness that seems to be from the yeast, apple, and cherry.

Grainy bitterness, dry crackers, biscuits (the English cookies), flowery, spicy, and earthy hops just as the aroma. Well done, you pretty much taste everything you smell. Lingering medium bitterness in the finish, semi-dry. Not very complex but quite tasty nonetheless.

Very good carbonation level, soft and airy. Super easy to drink but the earthy bitterness and dryness in the finish keeps this from being too sessionable.
