Picked up a mix 12 pack of the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp to keep myself occupied on Sunday afternoon while watching some golf. They all look really interesting so this should be fun. Drank from my Russian River tulip.

Appearance- Pours a super hazy yellow orange with a beautifully fluffy one finger bright white head. A beautiful cap and collar remains along with tons of thick rich lacing.
Smell- Nice soft banana esters trickle out of the glass as the beer smells subtle and nice. It’s not as spicy as one might think as I don’t get as much of the usual clove or mace associated with the banana smell. A bit of doughy wheat adds a soft sweet undertone and that’s about it for the nose. Simple and nice.
Taste- Starts lightly sweet with a big bubblegum and banana presence, more in the taste than nose. Still not all that spicy although there is sort of a lingering clove flavor. The beer seems to sweeten a bit as it warms and it gets slightly cloying. Wheaty and soft in the finish as the damn near 7% is hidden very well.
Mouthfeel- Rich and creamy with a sort of milky thickness and soft ticklish carbonation.
Drinkability- Not the most complex beer in the world but it’s decent. A tinge too sweet for my liking but I’d never guess this beer was almost 7%. Maybe a bit more yeast spiciness would add something else to kick it up a notch. Decent but not my favorite.
