Picked up a mix 12 pack of the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp to keep myself occupied on Sunday afternoon while watching some golf. They all look really interesting so this should be fun. Drank from my Russian River tulip.

Appearance- Pours a fairly orange yellowish with a nice one finger creamy white head. Bubbles vibrantly permeate my glass feeding the excellent cap and collar. Not a lot of lacing is left but a few random spots here and there.
Smell- If you’ve ever had a California Common before you’d have no problem picking this out as one. It’s lightly bready with a doughy somewhat sweet smell that is spot on for the style. A touch of yeast shows along with an extremely light kiss of hops. Earthy with a touch of grass.
Taste- Again, pretty spot on for what you’d expect from this style. Starts with a ever so light sweetness that is doughy and malty with just a touch of something caramel like. The yeast is ever so present along with just a touch of bitterness from the hops in the finish. It’s fairly soft but I get that grassy earthiness well into the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel- Mediumish body that has a light sort of syrupy feel with a fairly crisp bite of carbonation.
Drinkability- Overall not too shabby. Steam Beers aren’t exactly my favorite but I do appreciate them and enjoy one every now and again. This seems just slightly hoppier than ones I’ve had in the past and I’d say for the better. Tasty.
