A - Pours a coppery colored body that is crystal clear. Lots of bubble action in the glass. Head starts bight white and about one inch, but is quickly reduced to a thin skim atop the surface.

S - Biscuity, bready malts that remind me of a german or chech pilsener. The big difference comes next with a big fruity hop nose and some sweet malts. Almost a light toffee to the smell.

T - Big bready malts are again the first thing to hit here. Closely following are some sweet caramel notes, much more bold than I can remember in any pils I have had recently. Some earthy hoppiness comes in towards the end before finishing with a bitter wash.

M - Much thicker than I expected. Medium bodied and a bit syrupy. Slightly prickly carbonation.

D - This sort of borders on this pilsner style and approaches amber. Decent beer, and something that borders styles. I applaud Shmaltz for doing something a little different.
