Shipyards Summer Ale pours a clear straw golden. Big streams of carbonation rise to the surface and keep the head active. A two+ finger creamy white head formed on the pour that had good lasting power. Leaves nice sticky drink lines.

Aroma comes forward with a solid malted wheat twang quickly followed by a squeeze of orange juice and a mild spiciness from the yeast. Not bad, just not really my style.

The flavor isn't bad and it is thirst quenching but again it's not my style of wheat beer and actually not really above average. Malted wheat plays the biggest roll with the orange mid-palate and finishing with the slightly spicy yeast.

Body is on the lighter side of medium with a as creamy of a mouthfeel you could expect from a beer with this type of body.

This is a decent Summer beer that does things well that you'd expect from Summer brews. Thirst quenching and lighter bodied with decent flavor.

Solid Summer beer. It's hard to find Summer beers I enjoy but this is a pretty good example.
