A - Pour produces a one inch, loose, light cocoa colored head. This fizzes down to about a quarter inch and settles in for the long haul. Night sticky lacing on the sides of the glass. Body is dark brown, but not really murky, as it does show light through it despite the very dark color.
S - Nice roasty smells right up front, with the coffee taking the front seat without being huge. Touch of chocolate.
T - Starts off with a nice roasty malt flavor. Chocolate comes in with as much cocoa as it has milk choclate. Coffee is here and it's just right for me. It's a big part of the beer, but not overpowering the other flavors. Slight lactose at the end with a bit more chocolate.
M - On the heavy side of medium bodied, this is a nice thick feel to it for a lower abv beer. Nice carbonation too. Not sure it could improve for the style.
Overall - I know this beer is a year old, and it is on purpose to suit my tastes since I don't like coffee and the time usually mutes the coffee a bit more to my liking. It worked like a charm. I'm really enjoying this beer, especially it's superb mouthfeel.
