Binny's Orland
Rogue's Smoke Ale poured a slightly hazy copper that turns orange when light gets to it. A 2 finger head formed on a somewhat hard pour that fades to a finger and gets creamy with an eggshell finish. Leaves mopatchy lacing.
This beer smells really good. The smoke aroma smells almost hot like you're right next to the fire. Charred aromas are first and foremost with mild wafts of caramel malts showing through occasionally along with a spicy hoppiness.
Not as much smoke in the flavor as in the aroma which is probably a good thing. Caramel maltiness comes through upfront and is accompanied by a very mild smokiness. The caramel leads the way throughout the drink. Mid-palate to the finish the spiciness of the saaz come in. The smoke is barely noticeable until the swallow when it seems to coat your mouth nd throat without being overpowering.
Medium body that coats on the swallow. Hop bitterness awakens the tongue but is quickly batted down by the smoke.
For a smoked beer this is a rea leasy drinker. Very enjoyable.
Another winner from Rogue. I haven't seen this one around very often but glad I finally got a chance to pick it up. Very enjoyable hoppiness balanced by the smoke. I'll pick this up again.

Thanks to Reg for this brew>
A- Murky dark orange color with a nice buttery cream head on it.
S- Smoke and hops???? BIG FAN! The crisp hops are really great. Smoke is there in the background in a light fashion. Some orange peel also.
T- Light roastiness blend in with some crisp hops. The smoked malts come in at the end and linger around. Very well blended. Light citrus in the middle of it makes this an awesome drinker.
M- Very good.
O- Very good brew. Really glad I got a chance to try this.
