Originally reviewed 09/24/06On tap at the Happy Gnome last night.
A - Poured a nice pitch black with a small, but thick creamy off white head.
S - Subtle. Roasted malts at the forefront. Bit of chocolate in there.
T - Man, this is a lot better than the smell. Flavor was deep and robust. Same flavors, just big and rich. Roasted dark malt. Bittersweet baker's chocolate.
M - Nice and thick and creamy.
D - This borders on being a stout. Excellent beer.
