Bottle of Jazz Guy Ale which is the same as Rogue Amber, just a different bottle as they like to do.
Pours a clear deep amber color with lots a lil bubbles rising to the top. Big frothy slightly off-white head sits atop and settles very slowly. Little bit of sticky lace left on the walls of the glass as it subsides.
Smells of smooth amber malts with a bit of biscuit. Hint of earthy hops and a bit of caramel. May just be smelling it because the bottle tells me it's there but there is just a touch of coffee at the end.
Fairly thick malt body with a medium sweetness. Amber malt and a bit of caramel. Touch of light toffee. Hint of butter for a second. Bit dry at the end. A bit chalky on the aftertaste. Definitely drinkable but not my favorite Rogue offering.

A - Nice reddish orange with a slight haze, possibly due to the chill. Small tan head.
S - Sweet caramel malt with solid hop backbone. Could smell this one as soon as I poured it. Earthy.
T - Sweet, malty taste up front. Almost a rye taste to it. Nice balances of sweet hops. Red fruit.
M - Medium bodied. Good carbonation.
D - Nice beer, very easy to drink
