Old Review
12 oz bottle I got at the Grub Mart here in J'ville. Poured this bad boy into a pint tumbler.
A: Poured a nice, dark red/brown. Had some real activity in carbonation bubbles. The head was an off white, almost tan that had barely any retention. Produced some lacing but nothing sticky.
S: Smells spicy. There is some nots of hops, but there is some big time herb and spice presence.
T: Taste is very spicy and nice. Problem here is that is about all I get. There is touch of malt sweetness and some hops, but this is not a sweet or bitter brew. Just spicy, but not too spicy. Its got attitude. **edit** This beer does not need to be too cold. The malt and caramel sweetness comes out at a warm temp. Rounding out a bit more, still a touch off.
M: A little thin, light to medium body. Leaves some spiciness on the back of the throat. Goes down pretty easy.
D: I can drink it and its above average, but not much. Not a bad brew but could us a bit more balance.
