I have the opportunity to try Bluebeery courtesy of joepais, thanks again Joe! Bluebeery pours lightly hazed with a rusty red amber body. I'm assuming part of this color is from the blueberry addition. A one finger white head forms on the pour and recedes to a solid cap. It could be my mind playing tricks on me but the head seems to have a tint of color to it. Each drink leaves behind some loose patchy lacing along the sides of the glass.

The aroma is very nice. The first thing that jumps (although jump may be a strong word) out about this beer is a slightly sweet blueberry aroma. There are no artificial blueberries here. This smells like fresh off the vine blueberries. Along with the slight sweetness the blueberries bring they also add a touch of tart along the way. The base of this beer sets a solid foundation. There's a subtle grainy sweetness lying down underneath the blueberry goodness. This beer smells appetizing.

The aroma let me know exactly what the flavor was going to be. Slight blueberry sweetness kicks things off and leads the way through the flavor. The base of this beer really lets the flavors shine. The body of this beer seems to me to be a well made blonde ale. Slightly sweet graininess lays down the back and balances out the slightly tart and subtly peppery blueberries. I really enjoy the way this beer was brewed. The base beer is simple enough to let the blueberries really come through nicely. It's not too sweet either like other blueberry beers I've sampled in the past.

The mouthfeel is moderately light with a carbonation that lets itself be known. The carbonation is on the higher side of the spectrum and while aggressive, never quite reaches prickly. The feel is very clean and crisp.

Bluebeery is one of the quintessential summer beers. This beer is incredibly easy to drink. The body and carbonation keep this an easy drinker on there own before the thirst quenching is even brought into the mix. The subtle flavors just really top everything off.

This is a delicious fruit beer. I like to try all the blueberry beers I can find and this is a delicious one. I wish I could have got a couple more of these. I think it's a beer both friends and family would have enjoyed whether into beer or not. Thanks again for the treat Joe!
