Generously received this growler from the owner of Pinocchio’s in good ol' Philly via the man, the myth, the Gibby. I've wanted to try this beer for a while but due to unforeseen circumstances (thought I was losing my job) I never was able to partake. Drank from my Willimantic pint glass while watching the rain in my garage and listening to Avenged Sevenfold.

Appearance- Pours a crystal clear straw yellowish orange with a healthy half finger bright white head that is full and fluffy and spot on. A nice cap and collar is maintained the entire beer along with a nice dose of thick sticky lacing.
Smell- Mmmm hoppy and fruity just as I was hoping! Loads of grapefruit, pineapple, crab apple, passion fruit and even a hint of something tart (like cherries). West coast smelling to the max. I always struggle how to describe the malt smell in these but its light and husky and cracker like.
Taste- Tastes like the nose smells with a big crisp bite of bitter. Pineapple and grapefruit galore with a touch of orange peel. The malt and sugars are there but not really in taste. There is a light flavorless sweetness that cuts the hoppiness perfectly. The finish is light and bitter and fruity and the 8.5% is absolutely nowhere to be found.
Mouthfeel- A little bit more heft than you'd expect for the style and a bright zippy bit of carbonation. The special lid on this growler worked fucking wonders!
Drinkability- Enjoyed the absolute shit out of this beer so far. I have about 1/2 of the growler left and I'm already sad it's running out. The best hoppy brew I've had since Double Dry Hopped Stone IPA and Elder. Great beer that rocked my socks off, thanks Pinocchio guy and Jeff!!
