Big thanks go out to Duckboy for this bottle.

A - Pours a rich brown color with nice ruby highlights. Head is really fizzy, sort of looking like the foam that you get on a draft soda. Starts huge, dissipates slowly. Light toffee colored and made up of varying sized bubbles.

S - Full on brown sugar. Dark Belgian candy sugar, caramel, molasses and a touch of chocolate. Spicy Belgian yeast. Light floral hops.

T - Actually starts off with some of the floral, earthy hops here at the tip of the tongue. Brown sugar comes in and starts the depth of rich sweetness. The brown sugar sort of seems to turn to cooked brown sugar, turning slightly burnt and caramelized. Caramel flavors stick for a minute and meld with a quick burst of molasses. Yeastiness come in with a spicy background towards the end.

M - Medium full bodied with slightly fuzzy carbonation.

D - Really nice representation of the style. Big, sweet and complex. Pelican really seems to be an underappreciated brewery.
