Hell Yeah! Review #1000 for me is a little different than some. My first beer ever becomes my 1000th review.
A - Pour produces a half inch of super fizzy bright white foam. This quickly reduces to a ring around the glass and a few bubbles floating around on the surface. Body is straw yellow and super clean. Bubbles lazily rise to the surface.
S - My dad would say, "Smells like beer." Grainy. Lots of breadiness and raw grain. Some corn like sweetness. Light, earthy hops.
T - Light graininess (is that a word) starts this off, followed up quickly by corn sweetness. Sweetness is subdued and not overpowering in the least. Earthy hops are here, but fairly faint. Light bready flavor. Finishes clean with no aftertaste.
M - Crisp, clean and refreshing.
Overall - This is your Dad's beer. Say what you want about it, but for the style, I really have always liked this beer. Not knock your socks off, but better than the big three imo. It will always have a place in my fridge out of nostalgia as well.
