A: Pours a murky and filthy deep muddy caramel color. I will be shocked if I don’t like this beer! That murk is what I really like to see in a beer. The head is a huge and oatmeal colored, fizzy and pocked full of swiss cheese holes in the bubbles.
S: Coriander, brown sugar, plump raisins, fruity apricot, nutmeg, black pepper and a little bit of toasted wheat bread. Smells great. Two for two.
T: First impression is a good blend between biscuity malts, vitamin B, red apple and dark fruits. Super rich prunes and molasses work in perfectly…this is really tasty. Explosive spices merge with spectacular dark fruits…this is what people are looking for in a good Belgian dubbel or even quad. Finishes sweet, rich but not cloying or over bearing. Great balance. I’ll drink this entire bottle and be ready for more. Not really else I can say!
M: Medium body, soft with a little carbo sting.
D: Yum, yum, yum. This was great and I highly recommend it.
