Served chilled and poured into a weizen glass.

Appearance is very good. Deep copper colored brew with an enormous beige-colored head. Semi-clear body with tiny carbonation bubbles slowly rising. Lacing on the side of the glass is impressive.

Smell is good. Piny hops immediately make their presence known. Caramel malt and a subtle citrus maltiness comes through.

Taste is very good. Grapefruit, citrus fruit, pine sap and a good amount of caramel malt. Really nice complexity here with both hop flavors (pine and citrus) melding well together. Finishes is Belgian candy sugar-like. Incredibly balanced.

Mouthfeel is fantastic. Full-bodied with a lush, thick presence on the palate. Carbonation is on point for the style; creamy. One of the biggest bodied DIPA's I've ever had.

Overall: A very [pleasant take on an American style. What separates this one from a lot of DIPA's is the mouthfeel and the balance. Recommended.

Price: $10.00 Served In: Weizen Glass

A - Nice rich amber colored body that is clean and clear. Butter colored, one inch, frothy head. Amazing retention.

S - Big time herbal hop nose here. Earthy and resiny hops. Dried pine needles. Just enough light caramel malt to attempt to balance it out. Really smells like some of the herbal style American DIPAs.

T - Much like the smell here. Big, resinous, sticky, piney hops. Earthy. Piney bitterness come on pretty strong. Big pale and caramel malts trying to balance this hop bomb.

M - Big, full and sticky. Full bodied with smooth carbonation.

D - This one is a sipper for sure. Actually might seem like a bit more than the listed 8.5% because of all the stickiness. Probably the best European take on an American IPA or DIPA that I have had.
