A huge pop when I popped the cap, the beer started rushing towards the opening but my glass was ready.
This is an unfiltered, 6.4%abv brew, that is a light orange yellow colour with lots of foam. Some nice lacing ensues.
The smell is very Saison like. I smell wheat, yeast, some lemon zest, spices(white pepper, some clove) a bit of mustiness that reminds me of a light nose that Brett can give. Nice.
The taste follows the smell. Spice, yeast, wheat, some candi sugar like sweetness, a bit of lemon zest, and some mild bitterness near the finish. A rather nice example of the style.
It has a medium mouthfeel with moderate to high carbonation.
This is a very enjoyable Saison and I'd recommend looking for some but I've read the brewery is closed. Dammit.

I’m definitely excited to try it. Drank from my Surlyfest mug.
Appearance- Pours a crystal clear bright yellow with a nice half finger creamy bright white head. An amazing cap and collar remains the entire time along with plenty of lacing. Great looking beer.
Smell- Nice potent nose with a bright sort of Saison funk. Has a nice lemony bite right from the start as the nose is pretty hoppy. Very citric and a really nice nose. A bit of clove and banana from the yeast adds a light funk in the background. Sort of peppery and spicy as well.
Taste- The beer starts much like the nose with a very bright citric kick. Lightly bitter at first with a nice touch of lemon and maybe even peach. I don’t get much, if any, funk from the yeast but there is a light touch of spice. Some white pepper on the finish and a light bit of fruity citrus lingers.
Mouthfeel- Light body with a nice smooth feel and light crisp carbonation.
Drinkability- Definitely a nice hoppy Saison. Reminds me a lot of Surly Cynic. It’s somewhat fruity yet still has all the characteristics of a Saison. Very drinkable and very tasty. Thanks much Abel!
