A 2005 vintage.

Pours a deep caramel color. Absolutely no head or bubbles what so ever, nada.

Aromas of dates, dried prunes, raisins, apples, caramel, and multi-grain bread. After the first layer I detect some candied yams, brown sugar, fruity alcohol, wood and yeast.

Tastes of brown sugar with multi-grain bread followed by candied apple, caramel, and a bit of alcohol (well hidden though). Heavy with the malt, caramel, bread, and a bit of toasty malt.

Very creamy, silky and smooth. Not much carbonation to speak of so it’s almost syrupy. Surely a sipper and a malt bomb.

Served In: Tulip
