This a clone recipe for the Russian River Blind Pig that Danny (smokedchub) found. He actually "technically" made it our recipe by changing something in the grains, but that was nothing special. It's a clone recipe, no mistake.

Color is a bit darker than expected, actually more of a medium to dark copper along the lines of a Double IPA. Smell is strong hops. Very minimal malt sweetness at the end. Taste is also led by the hops bitterness, then you get a quick burst of malty sweetness, then a mix of bitterness and that sweetness. Lots of oily, citrusy, orange-peel type hops presence. Feel is sticky, also slightly more than expected for a standard IPA.

Overall, this one is seemingly close to the mark. A bit stronger on the hops than I recall the Blind Pig bottles I've had (I think 3 or 4 bottles). However, when I first opened the bottle, I will say that I did think of the Blind Pig bottles I've had. So maybe this is closer than I think. If this had been our own recipe, I would have rated it decently highly. On its own merits, this is a very good copy of the intended target.
