Poured from the tap into a pint glass
The color is a dark black with some maroon highlights and about two fingers of foamy brownish head and some nice lacing left on the glass.
The smell is roasty with a little dry malt aroma. There is some dark chocolate aroma in the nose that has a coffee roast like aroma too.
The taste is roasted malt and is filled with a nice dry chocolate flavor that sets back a bit to hang with a coffee flavor that mixes with some nice toast burnt flavor.
The feel of this beer is complex but smooth as it goes down with ease and has a silky aftertaste that is more enjoyable then a lot of Porters I have had. This one is one of the better ones.

Pours dark, as expected for a Porter. Decent foam goes away after a minute or so. Smell is actually a bit muted for the style. You do get a slight roasted malt smell and maybe a bit of coffee. Not much though. First taste is also a bit thin. Actually a bit watery at first, then you get the roasted flavor and coffee. It's good, but not great. Feel is OK, but doesn't stick around long.
Overall, this one is solid if unspectacular. Pretty much what you expect from the style, but nothing more. I like this one, but not sure it's in the top tier.
