Another beer from my recent Michigan trip.

Poured a pale yellow/gold color, into my New Belgium globe, with a one finger head quickly receding with some fairly decent lacing.

Smells of bananas, bread dough, and spices. Overall pretty nice.

Taste is mild bananas, orange peel, a little candied sugar and some mild spices. Gets slightly better as it warms. The smell was more promising than the taste was able to deliver, however, I still enjoyed this beer.

I know New Holland has had problems with inconsistency, so I feel pretty lucky that this one was as good as it is based on some of the other reviews that I've read.

From 22oz bomber into tulip glass

A - Golden hazy color, poured with a decent white head that ended up being just a slight drape of white over the top.

S - Slight smell of vanilla, peach, honey.

T - Sweet and slightly herbal. More hops than I expected to taste in this. As it warms you taste more of the sweet malts and slight alcohol (not much considering the 9%).

M - This is the highlight. Creamy with carbonation that is perfect. Finishes dry.

D - Not difficult to take at all. I am sure I could have a couple more after this one. Very nice beer that is a great American representation of this style.
