Nearly black oil color with a medium broken chocolate brown head thats very appetizing to watch grow slowly and same to fade, a broken thin skim remains and some spots and ink blot patches of lace coat the glass. Aroma is soft of bakers chocolate and slightly burnt or even charred with a cookie dough sweetness. Taste is mild in tone and roast, light chocolate, somewhat dark, indeed not heavy, but gains a bit more roastyness as it begins to linger. Slightly drying with cocoa in most of the middle and finish. Feel is a bit thin for an Imp., needs to be much heavier and thicker. This comes across more like a good porter then an Imp. stout. Still, quite smooth and very quaffable! Liked it alot, just not as an Imperial Stout.
