12 oz can I got from the great IBUnit63. Served up in a shaped DFH pint glass.

A: Pours a burnt orange color that looks almost like a warm apple cider looks. Cloudy with changes of degree of color going from darkest in the middle and it lightens as you work your way up or down. The pour did not yield much of a head at all from a pretty quick pour. What head did show up, quickly disappeared. No real lacing to talk about. Carbonation pushes the cloudiness around a bit. Not a bad looking brew, but nothing awe inspiring.

S: Smell is of a more malt based IPA. Getting a pretty nice, caramel malt presence coming in with some nice sweetness. Behind the malt lies the hops but it is a bit faint. The hops come through as a light pine smell with some grapefruit peel behind it. Its a bit weak, but intriguing.

T: Taste is a much like the nose. Sweet, caramel malt takes front and center. The caramel and malt is just sweet enough. Then comes a really nice complimentary balance of hops. The hops are again a nice pine (mostly) with a touch of grapefruit underneath. There is also an earthy/herbal presence as well. Pretty tasty stuff.

M: Medium bodied brew that has a decent stick to it on the palate. The carbonation is on the high side but it definitely helps the beer in the crispness category. Aftertaste is pretty clean for an IPA with just a touch of malt laced pine. ABV is not very noticable at all. Very pleasant.

D: This beer has a good taste to it and it is decent in every other category. It goes down incredibly easy and is a treat because it comes in these nifty cans. The can helps the drinkability IMO due to its ease of carry and use. I think a lot could be improved, but as is this is a pretty good brew. Wouldn't mind having a sixer or two of this on a fishing or hunting trip.

A - Pours a nice clean amber colored body with tons of tiny bubbles racing to the surface in sort of a helix in the center of the glass. Two finger tan soapy head that sticks to the sides.

S - Nice fruity hoppiness. Pinecones and a light caramel scent. Slightly bready.

T - Piney bitterness washes over the tongue. Caramel malts are much more prevelent and balance the bitterness. Not nearly as hoppy of a taste as there was to the smell. Bitter aftertaste.

M - Medium bodied with slightly prickly carbonation.

D - This is a good IPA. Definitely another nice option for places where cans are ideal.
