12 oz bottle I was gifted the other day. Served up in a shaped pint glass.
A: Pours up a dark golden color with light coppery tones. Held to the light, the yellows push through more to create a lighter yellow color. The body has the lightest of haze to it, mostly clear. There is a huge carbaonation activity moving around in here. It is feed a bright white, foamy, tight head. The foam has a huge amount of stick to it, sheeting all the way down the glass.
S: The smell is light but what is there is very nice. Starts off with some Belgian yeast note. That quickly fades into a very light floral and citrus hop presence. Smells very clean and simple.
T: Things start off here with a bright and easy drinking citrus presence. Lemon and orange are most present. Bright and juicy, but not too aggressive. This is balanced by that sweet Belgian yeast presence with a touch of spice. This is sandwiched again by those hop notes and a touch of fruitiness (pear?). Very nice.
M: Medium bodied with a huge carbonation level. Can't find any trace of that 7%. Balanced on the palate with hop bite and some sweetness. Drys up pretty well. Aftertaste is all citrus hops.
OA: As far as Belgian IPAs go, this one is very tame and I like that. It doesn't really go either direction with too much force. The IPA notes are there to compliment the IPA notes and vice versa. Nothing insane here, but it is nicely crafted and easy drinking. Not going to blow anyone away but makes for an incredibly solid everyday kind of drinker.
