Pours a brilliant clover honey gold with a lacey white head. Beautiful pint. Piney, citrusy, slightly catty aroma screams Simcoe, with bready malt undertones. I just keep sniffing it and loving it.

Initial hop bite is almost Lake Placid Frostbite-like in intensity, with a sharp, biting piney-citric-jasmine bitterness. Clean, slightly fruity-bready-caramelly maltiness is dominated by a leafy grapefruit rind bitterness throughout. Starts to get a hint of toastiness at the end, adding to the fun. Finish is bitter, leafy, and whoops here comes another sip. Medium-light mouthfeel doesn't really balance off the hops, but it's an APA not an IPA so no real detraction.

reminds me in a lot of respects of the Pump Station Pale Ale with a serious extra dose of hops, or their dry-hopped IPA from a few years back. This is a very good thing. Thanks to TipTop for the growler!!

A: Extraordinarly perfect creamy oatmeal color head sits inches above the glass with excellent holding power. Body is a clean copper amber with a touch of haze.

S: Super fresh hoppiness with crisp green citrus, creamsickle and spicy pine.

T: First impression is under ripe watermelon with a quality caramel undertone following suite. Little bit of iced tea can be found around the center of the tongue. Bitterness comes on thick and aggressive, absolutely attacking the sides of the tongue. Loads of green grapefruit zest accompanies the bitterness with minor streak of apple. Finishes a bit toasty, some graininess, green bell pepper

M: A little thin for the style. Could use a bit more mouthfeel.

D: Very nice beer with good flavor. Not overly complex but solid none the less. Bitterness is a tad intense and over the top for me but still didn’t deter me from finishing the growler.

Thanks to Tip Top for this brew>>.

Pours a clear medium light amber with a thick white foam head that fades into the brew and leaves really nice lacing. Love the smell of these hops, seriously. Sat and smelled it for about 15min. Really floraly, with some citrus breaking through. Wow, really one of the smoothest brews out there. The hops are dominate for a PA, but ever so smooth in the same sip. Hps bite you up front and blend well with the carbonation of the brew in the middle leaving only a slight bitterness on the back of your tongue in the after taste. Really a top notch PA. Not too many people can gripe about this "small" brew.
