2009 vintage. Haven't had this one in a while.
Pours a nice deep copper mahogany color with a small thick tan head. Some lace sticks to the walls of the glass and slides down slowly.
Smells of nice sweet copper malt with notes of maple syrup and a nice nuttiness imparted by the wild rice. Maple syrup becomes more aparent as the brew warms a bit.
Super smooth and malty. Nice bit of syrup coming through at first with a dry sweetness. Touch of caramel and a hint of toffee. Nutty flavor of wild rice with a hint of vanilla. Smooth touch of maple syrup returns for the aftertaste.
Much better then I recall from previous years.
