Thanks to TipTop for the growler!

Pours a bright slightly cloudy amber with a white head that lasts a decent amount of time before settling into a fine bead. "Looks sort of like apple cider" according to my non-beer-drinking 10 year old expert on apple cider, who knows apple cider when he sees it. :) Doesn't smell like apple cider though - there are, however, all kinds of neat fruit esters going on - tropical fruits, hints of red delicious apple, and some faint spiciness (clove, slight cinnamon) along with whiffs of alcohol.

Starts with that great complex fruity maltiness - lots of sweet tropical fruit and faint underlying bitterness to balance. Spiciness is there in proportion, as above. Faint slightly darkly fruity/marzipan-like esters in there as well. A warming alcohol comes in mid sip and becomes more prominent as the glass warms, never burns or overwhelms, but does act as a reminder of the power behind this one. Very round mouthfeel, nice fine carbonation. This is a big brew, no question, but one of eminent drinkability. Luscious aftertaste makes you want more.

Another fine brew from Town Hall.
