Another Saturday morning at my favorite beer hall in Minneapolis. Came down for the Centennial Pale and that's what I'm starting with. Drank from a generic pint glass.

Appearance- Pours a light hay tinted yellow with a beautifully fluffy one finger bright white head. A nice cap and collar are maintained along with a ton of lacing.
Smell- Perfumed nicely with a somewhat floral bouquet on first whiff. The pine of the centennial comes through nicely along with some earthy grass and a touch of mint. A crackery maltiness is apparent though with a touch of sweetness among the hop bouquet.
Taste- I've always thought this beer was a bit assertive for a Pale Ale but I guess for Town Hall standards, it is not. Starts with a nice bitter bite that's really pine sappy and earthy to the core. It borderlines on Noble Hop earthiness but that tinge of something fruity pulls it back. Almost a orange peel like taste for lack of a better description. A touch of sweet toast in the finish balances out the bitterness pretty nicely. Nice hoppy finish that lingers.
Moutfeel- Medium to heavier body with a nice crisp bite of carbonation and an oily resiny feel.
Drinkability- IPA, Pale Ale, whatever - this is a great brewski. A nice bite of hoppy bitterness that is totally drinkable and super tasty. Basically exactly what you expect from Town Hall and their world class usage of the hop.

Price: $5.00 Served In: Pint Glass
