A: Carbonation is top notch as is all of town hall’s beers. The head begins to take on a peach almond color with swiss cheese holes. Body appears somewhat thin with a deep dark brown color to it.

S: Well that’s coffee, no doubt about it. Super hardcore and pungent…this would deter only the hardest core coffee drinkers…and low and behold…fortunately that’s me. Digging deeper into the sinuses I almost detect some amaretto with burnt butterscotch aromas. It really smells like something that I can’t seem to put my finger on…In between the highs and lows a steady amount of roasted barley holds the line.

T: Coffee isn’t as strong as the aroma leads you on. It begins rounded and not pungent at all. A little bit of sharp coffee flavors lurks around the center of the tongue but disappears as soon as the swallow takes place. Overall a cocoa creaminess that you’d find in a milkshake or a watery mocha. After the swallow, a roasted buttery nut flavor begins to take hold and slowly bloom into a wonderful intensified flavor…And for some reason I’m detecting banana in the aftertaste…maybe my taste buds are on the fritz tonight. Finish has a lot of the roastedness that was lacking in the beer for the most part.

M: Medium body with a full and creamy mouthfeel.

D: I like this beer, especially compared to most of the coffee beers on the market. It has some features that I really find appealing. Any beer that has the roasted nutty caramel flavor after the swallow I’m a sucker for. Not bad.
