12 oz pour I had at the Brick Store Pub.

A: Hits the table as a dark orange body. It kind of bounces between a dark orange but also mingles with brown shades in some areas. The body is pretty clear. Had a little over a fingers worth of crisp, white head on top. Creamy with some retention. The foam had some stick to it and there was spotty lacing throughout.

S: First thing that hit me was actually a sweet caramel malt presence first and foremost. I thought it a bit strange that the malts came first but they were quickly washed away but a rather large hops presence. The hops were all over the place. Floral, herbal, citrus, pine and a little medicinal. The grapefruit did really take over as the beer warmed. Very nice.

T: Hops didn't really have any rivalry from the malt here. Just tons of hops. It is mostly citrus and tropical hops notes. Getting mostly grapefruit, pineapple, orange. There is a good dose of pine resin coming through as well. The malts come in lightly with some caramel and it really rides the booze in. This is boozy. Little bit of herbal hops note finishes it off.

M: Medium bodied with a nice, sticky weight to it. Really coats the mouth and hangs around for a while. The ABV is high and noticably so. Carbonation is on the lower side of medium, allowing the beer to be slightly creamy. Bitter and boozy as hell on the palate. Aftertaste is all hops.

OA: This was a good beer but it was a chore to get through at times. Murch did point out that I was sipping rather slowly on this one. I guess I could have gone with a different beer to start the day off, but I just wanted to say "I Beat You" to the waitress when asked what I want. lol. It was tasty and smelled great. I would have it again if the opportunity arose. Not bad at all.
