MiC>

A- Great looking brew. Very dark pour with a light caramel colored head that stays around. Nice and cramy looking, solid. Looks like the opiacy(?) of sode, very dark but some light gets through.

S- Has a great Belgian smell to it, but with some chocolate. The light tart smell is nice and work well.

T- Very nice flavor, very sweet. Not the light tart like I got from the nose, but very good.

M- Decent. Thins out a little as it goes...

O- A very drinkable, and solid brew. Nice flavor without being too big or weak.

Big thanks to Duckboy for this bottle.

A - Body is light brown at the bottom, but darker with more of it together. Sort of a chocolate color. Nice haze to it, making it almost opaque. Head is small and a bit fizzy, recedes fairly quickly. Now just a ring around the glass.

S - Tons of sweetness on the nose. Toffee. Big time belgian candi sugar. Light caramel. Sweet dark fruits with plums and figs coming to mind. Nice yeastiness that is a signature with most decent belgian styles.

T - Nice sweet flavor starts this off. Candi sugar and toffee are rich and sweet. Light caramel and just a touch of anise. Some fruitiness comes along, but I am having a hard time pinpointing exactly what I have here. Maybe crabapple? Alcohol warms at the end.

M - Medium to full bodied. Carbonation is way too fizzy, distracting even.

Overall - Good beer, but definitely not top notch like many from Midnight Sun. Sugars become a bit cloying. Could probably use some mellowing with a little bit of age.
