*Uploading my old reviews, this one has a review date of: 11-16-07. If I can acquire the beer again I will re-review it*

This one doesn’t have a vintage year or any type of date on the bottle.

Pours a golden color, kind of like a DIPA. Almost no head, maybe I poured this one a bit too cold.

Aroma is of apricots, mangoes, pineapple, oranges, oh like a tropical fruit juice. Then the wheat and yeast comes through in a nice combination of wheat bread and subtle spices.

In the taste I get more wheat upfront with some tripel type of yeast profile and some fruits in the finish. A bit of bitterness in the finish as well, which makes the beer a little more interesting and keeps it from being too sweet from the big wheat malt profile.

The mouthfeel is a little syrupy with little carbonation, but works well for the style—it’s a hefty wheat beer.

It reminds me slightly of Bell’s- Batch 8000 but I slightly prefer this offering by Marin. Definitely a beer worth trying and one I wouldn’t mind revisiting again in the summer.

after review: I didn't notice that this was 10%, it drinks incredibly smooth for a ten percent beer, amazing!

Another beer from Westsidethreat.

A - Pours a light hazy orangish yellow colored body. Doesn't look like too many wheatwines I have had. Almost like a hefe. Head is about one inch and made of varying sized bubbles. Good retention and sticky spotty lacing.

S - Huge wheat odor to go along with some wet hay. Some fruitiness to it with a bit of honey sweetness. Lemony.

T - Whoa, taste is a lot bigger than the appearance here. Hits up front with a herbal tea like flavor with honey and lemon added. Much more citrus that I would ever expect from the style, but that's a good thing I think. Moves to the wheaty, wet hay flavors. Bitter hop bite comes in sort of at the same time that a bit more honey is present. Finish is very earthy hops with a slightly thick feeling left on the mouth.

M - Medium bodied with slightly fuzzy carbonation.

D - The lemony aspect of this beer helps this one to drink much easier than many wheatwines that I have had. Nice beer that drinks easier than the abv would indicate.
