Old Review
12 oz bottle from a case my brother in law got for me to stock his fridge while I was in Vermont. Apparently this is a staple of the beer diet up there and I gave it a try. Poured into a mug.
A: Poured a red brown with an off white head. Head had little retention and minimal lacing. Active carbonation going on makes this look very inviting.
S: Smell is mostly of caramel malt, earthy grains, and a bit of spice.
T: Taste is actually very nice. Taste of caramel from the malt mixes well with the grains, a touch of apple and bit of peppery spice. This beer is well balanced in the flavor department. Nothing too crazy but does give you a bit of a run for your money.
M: This beer is a bit thin but otherwise good. A bit on the watery side with nice carbonation, making this brew clean, crisp, and refreshing in the finish. Minimal aftertaste.
D: All the factors of flavor and mouthfeel make this a very drinkable beer. A very drinkable beer that also has a nice flavor profile and is not too filling? Yes, please! I will have another.
