Unholy Mole by Lake Effect Brewing Company LLC
Milk / Sweet Stout
6.50 % ABV

Milk Stout brewed with Chilies.
This frothy, malty beer oozes with chocolate and sweetness. A medley of roasted Arbol, Ancho, Chipotle and Guajillo chilies add a welcomed smokiness completing the beer with a slight touch of heat.

Solid black pour from the bottle, but not overly viscous at all. Light tan foam that leaves some spotty lacing on the glass as well.

Aromas of roast and chocolate, with some lactose sweetness and some fruity, veggie notes. Mild pepper comes through as well which integrates nicely.

Flavor is a great mix of sweet roast and chocolate malt along with earthy chilies that have a slight veggie note. A nice bitterness moves through with a mild-to-medium heat from the peppers. I find they are quite well integrated into the base brew...provided a kick of flavor without being overbearing.

Medium bodied and smooth...mouthfeel is spot on and easy to drink. Overall, I'm enjoying my first bottled offering from Lake Effect! Definitely looking forward to more from them and I'd grab this again. If you're a pepper beer fan seek this one out.

Price: $7.99 Served In: Pint Glass
