Mega murky and pale dark goldenrod ochre color that has the look of solid candle wax and looks a dull, slightly browned banana hue in lower light. A medium weight and height crown of off-whitish foam sits for a bit before slipping to a fairly solid skim. Minimal lacing in a few big spots glue themselves to the glass edge.
Aroma is all about the zesty yeasty banana breadyness and wet soggy banana peel muggyness dashed with a touch of clove spice and low ended, muted citrusy blended in.
Taste is much more of the same, loads of big banana breadyness, sogged down and muted with a nice weizen maltyness that sinks that breadyness over the palate denselt and quickly. There's a nice little touch of yeasty spice and clove pepperyness dancing lightly off the back end as it finishes. Overall, boldly sogged down in its weizen bready maltyness and blended with a firmly set banana breadyness and slight citric pull.
Awesome body of firm bready maltedness, smmothly tanged in rich weizen applique and melded well with its yeasty spice and clove touches.
One very solid brew, no surprise really as I enjoy pretty much everything Lagunitas puts on the shelves.
